James Guy Deming, born December 6, 1936, passed away peacefully on July 25th 2014. Jim was an Arizona native born to Jim and Anna Mae Deming, a pioneer family of the Mogollon Rim area. He married Nancy Koebcke Deming in 1961 and they had three children. Jim was an insurance salesman in the greater Phoenix area, and in his past time he enjoyed flying model airplanes and fishing. His children James C. Deming, Sandra L. Holliefield, John W. Deming, daughter-in-law Nancy Deming, son-in-law Barry Holliefield and three grandchildren Sarah and Emily Holliefield, and Lindsay Potter, survive Jim. Viewing will be at 9:00 am with a celebration of Jim’s life following at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 31st at the Mesa Palms Seventh Day Adventist Church, 6263 E. Thomas Rd. Mesa AZ 85215. Jim will be laid to rest at the Mesa Cemetery, 1212 N. Center Street, Mesa, AZ following the funeral service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Mesa Palms Seventh Day Adventist Church.
