For more than half of my life he was my dearest friend. No matter how far a way I was from him I could see and feel the love that came from him. All who knew him gravitated to him. My life has dimmed now that his light is gone from it. I will always carry a piece of him with me but the road forward will be much harder.

  2. Carlyn (Thurnbeck) Santistevan says:

Jason was an amazing artist. While our styles were very different, I always envied his technical abilities and clean style. He was a creative soul, a dedicated musician, and a kind and thoughtful friend. I was shocked and saddened to hear this news. My love to the many who are missing him fiercely.

  3. Veronica Wyant says:

My love, I will miss you always.. You were the light of my life..

  4. Lisa Ranck says:

I was reunited with my wonderful brother Jason a couple of years ago. It was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. He had a kind and gentle soul. There will always be an empty place in my heart where he was. I love you and miss you! I hope you are at peace now!

  5. Chris Whitehead says:

My sincere condolences to Jason’s family. I was his 9th Grade English teacher at Apache Junction High School and he was a talented and funny youngster in school. I am shocked and saddened to hear of his death.

  6. Gregory Goodrich says:

I’m devastated to hear of Jason’s passing. We worked together for several years and he’s responsible for getting me the job I still have 10 years later.
He was one of the smartest, funniest and kindest people I’ve ever had the privilege to call my friend.

  7. Soren Saggio says:

Jason was one of those guys that you just liked immediately, he gathered friends like no one else I know, and then he would start mixing us all together as he never left anybody out. What a tragic loss to the world.
Thank you Jason for the 30 years we had together and thank you for introducing me to so many OTHER people that are now lifelong friends. In the grand cosmos of friends that you gathered over 43 year, the brightest star in the middle of everything is now dark. And we all notice that those warm refreshing rays of sunlight are no longer there. Thank you for being the Bestman at my Wedding.. thank you for letting my kids be a part of your life, thank you for including me in all the social events and pool parties, and everything else you opened your heart and home to….
So many memories… so many good times… so many funny stories….

  8. Kim Paxson says:

Jason always visited our office with a smile and appreciation for a good joke and a great film. We have a large calendar in our work room where we keep track of vacations and time off. Somebody had drawn a mushroom cloud on Election Day 2016. It wasn’t until April 2017 that we learned it was Jason and he drew it when nobody was looking. Jason came to visit and he asked if we noticed it. Everyone in the office laughed hysterically because he wasn’t one of our suspects but we had grilled everyone we could think of. Well played buddy! We will miss you.

  9. Chad Mast says:

Jason was one of my dearest friends. I will place what I had to say about him at the funeral here as it bears repeating.

“I know if Jason was here today, his first thought would be “Oh No what is Chad going to say now.”
He knew I was outspoken, and just laid out what I thought with not much of a filter.
He was a rare person to me. But I want to tell you what made him so rare to me.
Jason and I would just be living life together. We would be on the phone for hours doing our own thing, not saying a word, just living life together.
Some how this was okay for both of us. We knew the other one was there for us. It was comforting to just be able to know they were there.
It is a rare thing to have that type of relationship with someone, where you can just be silent and hang out.
You know you have a real friend when you have that type of relationship.
Another way you know they are a real friend is when the little things in life happen and you are doing this or that and you think, Oh I can’t wait to tell Jason about this.
Jason was one of those people to me.

Jason was a social guy he liked hanging out with everyone, and could get along with almost anyone.
Next time your playing a board game, or doing something you know he would have loved. Just remember him and smile and remember the fun and joy he brought into your life.

I will miss him so very much.”
