Jerry L. Suvanto, age 67 of Mesa, AZ passed away resulting from complications of various diseases on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Jerry was born on August 25, 1949 in Park Rapids, Minnesota to Arvid E and Amelia (Arola) Suvanto.  He graduated from Menahga High School in Menahga, Minnesota. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served time based in the US during the Vietnam War.  Upon release from the Air Force Jerry then became a court reporter will living in the Miami, Florida for a few years. He then returned to Minnesota and took schooling to become a certified hair stylist in Minneapolis where he remained until 2004 when he moved to Arizona.  Jerry became a well know stylist in various Gold Canyon salons until his retirement in the fall of 2016.

He is survived by 4 sisters Lillian, Hazel, Doris (Stuart), Margaret & 1 brother Gene (Sherry) along with his favorite kissing cousin Joan Lynch & Carol Fossey in Minnesota.  He also has many nieces and nephews along with best friend Bill Peppel and working associates. Jerry was preceded in death by his sister Shirley and brothers Elmer, Alvin and Donald.

Services were held February 14, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Mountain View Funeral Home, Mesa, Arizona with final resting in Menahga, MN.
