Jimmie D. Gilmore, “Jimmie Mac”, 75, of Mesa, AZ, passed away December 8, 2013. He was born on September 14, 1938 in Ottawa, KS. Jimmie married his first love, Marlene, on June 30, 1956. He and Marlene started Gilmore’s Roustabout Service in Liberal, KS in 1973. Jim and his family continued working in the oil and gas industry until 1993 when he and Marlene retired and moved to Arizona. Jimmie Mac touched many lives, and all those he touched will never forget him. He leaves us with many memories of his favorite life experiences of golfing, fishing, traveling, and just loving and laughing with his family and friends. Jimmie is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marlene Gilmore, his mother, EdNetta Crotts, one daughter, Tammie (Travis) Katzenmeier, and three sons, Darin (Linda) Gilmore, Scott (Jennifer) Gilmore, and Randy (Ginny) Gilmore, one daughter-in-law, Cindy Gilmore, 19 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Jimmie is pre-deceased by 2 beloved sons, David Gilmore and Todd Gilmore. Jimmie’s funeral services will be held 10:00 am Friday, December 13, 2013 at Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 E Main St, Mesa, AZ, 85207 (480-832-2850). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Jimmie to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org). A Celebration of Life service will be held in Liberal, Kansas at a later date.
