Josephine Ruth (Hemmerling) Little, age 99, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024. Born on October 11, 1925, in Frankfort, Indiana, Josephine was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Josephine had a deep passion for reading, crafts, and spending time with her family. She dedicated many years of her life to working with special needs children and adults, making significant contributions to various programs and initiatives as Vice-President of the Clinton County Association for Retarded Individuals. She retired as a unit secretary at Hemet Hospital in Hemet California. Josephine was a cherished pillar of the communities in both Indiana and California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Little, in 1976, her son Mark Fisher in 1986, and her grandson Daniel Stark in 2016. She is survived by her children: Tom and Rose Little, Teresa and Steve Becket, Jeff Little, and Jenny and John Stark. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
A private burial will occur in Frankfort, Indiana.
