Kitty (Lenzmeier) Olson
Died Saturday November 30th, 2024
Kitty will be missed by her Husband, Roger, who enjoyed a couple of years of their 58-year marriage, and their daughter Gretchen and son Chip. Family was important to Kitty. Gretchen called Kitty every day and before Kitty hung up, she would always tell Gretchen to say hi to her husband Michael from his favorite mother-in-law. The telephone and her little red address book were Kitty’s Lifeline to her family and friends. She talked with her grandchildren: Savannah, Alec, Brett, and Mark almost every week. If you were in her address book, and if she called, be prepared for an inquisition of at least an hour as she peppered you with questions about your life and your family- whose names and ages she could remember even if you couldn’t. Kitty was a person that if you asked someone, “did you know her”? If they hesitated, they didn’t. If they did, they would have a story to tell about her. Kitty was not a great tactician, as the ones closest to her could attest, and would sometimes threaten to “Kick Your Ass”! Kitty’s newest delight was her great granddaughter 11-month-old Mallory, Savannah and Jamie’s daughter. She always liked to Facetime with Mallory to see her latest trick. That is if she could figure out how to connect the dam Facetime. Kitty was not a technological wizard and was still learning how to use the TV remote. Kitty made everyone around her feel like she cared about them even when she was dishing out advice that you didn’t like. Kitty was special and will be missed by all who knew her! Ceremony and Internment will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024 12:30pm at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
