Linda (Windy) Airey passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Mesa, Arizona on November 29, 2024. She was born in Niagra Falls, NY on April 2, 1952 to Thomas (Father Fred) Airey and Jacqueline Airey. She grew up in Attleboro, MA, in the rectory of All Saints Episcopal Church, where her father ministered to the community, along with her two sisters, Diana (Airey) Pierce and Wendy (Airey) Taylor. She graduated from Attleboro High School and went on to work as a receptionist/Office Manager for several companies before finding her true passion as a web designer, owning her own business and forming lasting friendships with her customers all over the world. She also spent several years as Caretaker for Briarwood in Cape Cod, MA. She enjoyed hosting the groups of visitors and found inspiration in the ocean views.

She met the love of her life, Ronald Tancrede, at the 7 Seas Nightclub in February of 1971 and they were married on March 24, 1973 at the very same church she grew up in. They had two children, Christopher and Tammi, and she devoted her life to making sure they felt loved and treasured.

She had many passions in life, but one of the things she enjoyed most was singing, most recently with The San Tan Chorale in Fountain Hills, AZ. However, her family will remember the beautiful voices of the Airey sisters, who no doubt are joyfully raising those voices together again in heaven.

Windy had an artist’s spirit and loved to craft. She would pour her heart into her creations and took great pleasure in gifting them to family and friends. Christmas was her absolute favorite time of year and one of her greatest joys was to see the looks on people’s faces when they opened these heartfelt gifts.

Windy was full of love and showered it on everybody who had the good fortune to have come into her life. She was a loving and devoted mother and was the best friend anybody could hope to have. Anybody who met her, loved her. She lived to make people smile, laugh, and feel cherished.

She leaves behind her Husband, Ronald Tancrede of Mesa, AZ; Her Son Christopher Tancrede of Rochester, NH and Daughter Tammi Tancrede of Attleboro, MA; Grandsons Elijah Tancrede of Rochester, NH and Hunter LeBlond of Attleboro, MA; Brother and Sister-in-Law Robert and Irene Bechard and Mother-in-Law Doris Tancrede of Manchester, NH; Brother-in-Law David Pierce and many other loving family and friends.

In Heaven, she was greeted by her parents, Father Fred and Jackie; Sisters Diana and Wendy; Father-in-Law Raymond Tancrede; Brothers-in-Law Arthur Taylor and Larry Gower; and many other family and friends; all of whom were surely blessed with her beautiful smile and warm hugs. “It’s a wonderful thing.”

A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held in the Spring or Summer and her family will be sure to announce it so all who loved her have the opportunity to attend.
