He told his oncologist that he was going out the same way he came into this world, fighting! And he fought the good fight. He spent the year he was given living: skydiving, zip lining, kayaking, traveling, riding his Harley, all with Jen by his side. Marc Alan Gallaugher was born on October 2, 1980. He graduated from Mesa High School in 1998, and went on to become an EMT/paramedic and then a registered nurse. He was on the path to becoming a NP when diagnosed with cancer. Marc was a caring, loving, kind man which made him an excellent nurse. He began his nursing career here in the Valley, but then went on to become a traveling nurse, going wherever needed during the Covid pandemic. Marc passed away on April 23. He leaves behind his sweetheart, Jennifer Raczkowski, and his bonus daughter, Madison; Marc’s family will be forever indebted to Jen for her continuous love, care, and support before and during his battle with cancer. He also leaves behind his parents Gary Gallaugher and Mary Miller Gallaugher. Marc was #4 of five boys: Michael (Brianne), Matthew (Julie), Ryan (Jordan), and Justin (Lorena) and had eight adorning nieces and nephews: Kade, Skylar, Jaxon, Keira, Colby, Courtney, Tori, and Tyra. Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1415 E Southern Ave, Mesa, AZ 85204, at 10:00 AM.
Marc was an amazing person inside and out. He brought laughter and joy wherever he went. Our love and condolences to Jen and his family.
Anyone fortunate enough to know Marc loved Marc. He was always quick with a hug, smile, helpful with any task one needed done, loyal to his family and friends, and deeply compassionate. His passing will forever leave a void in our lives. Sincere condolences to Jen, Maddie, Marc’s parents, brothers and other family members.

Had the pleasure of working with Marc for a few years. Not only was he an excellent nurse, but he such a great sense of humor. Such a great guy and will be missed tremendously. I was heartbroken to hear of his passing. See you again someday buddy
