Marlene Eleanor Dahl Hanson, 75, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016. Born April 27, 1941 in Rochester, Minnesota to Frank & Eleanor Dahl (deceased). Married Warren Hanson of Kasson, Minnesota (deceased). Together they lived in Rochester, Minnesota, Juneau, Alaska, Fairbanks, Alaska, Fort Collins, Colorado, and Bloomington, Minnesota. Their final residence together was in Fairbanks, Alaska. After Warren’s death, Marlene moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1989. Marlene was an avid Agatha Christie fan. In addition to enjoying reading, she enjoyed camping and picking blueberries with her family in the Rocky Mountains and the Alaska wilderness. Marlene was member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in several capacities in the church, both in ward and stake callings, often in the primary organization. She is survived by her siblings Carol Renken, James (Jim) Dahl and Nancy Krippner all of Minnesota. All 7 of her children survive her: William (Angela) Hanson of Arizona, Wendy Parrish, Kiarra Hanson both of Utah, Winona (Brian) Johnson of Colorado, Paul Hanson of Arizona, Ann (Dustin) Pierce of Utah, and John Hanson of Arizona. She has a total of 13 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren that survive her with one grandchild that preceded her in death. Viewing at Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery, Mesa, Arizona. Monday, November 14, 2016, between 9am-10am. Grave site services to be held in Tucson, Arizona, at Binghampton LDS Cemetery on November 14, 2016 at 1pm.
