Mary Elizabeth (Scheid) Burnett died in her sleep on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the age of 90. Mary is predeceased by her husband of 65 years Ray, who died in 2020. Mary is survived by her four children and their spouses; Kevin and LA Burnett, David and Shelley Burnett, Cheryl and Bob Nazzaro, and Stephen and Cathy Burnett; and five grandchildren Kelly, Casey, Kristin, Nicole and Mathew.

Mary was born and raised in Rochester, NY, and was a graduate of Mercy High School and the Bryant & Stratton Secretarial School. Mary was very active in the Roman Catholic Church across every parish she was a part of in New York, Virginia, Kentucky and Arizona. Most recently, she was a Eucharistic Minister at Holy Cross Church in Mesa, AZ, and regularly visited with hospitalized parishioners at Banner Baywood Hospital delivering Communion. Mary loved to sing, travel and most of all spending time with family and friends. Mary was a loving and kind person who will be dearly missed.

A public viewing will be held between 2:00 – 3:00 on December 9 at Mountain View Funeral Home in Mesa, AZ, with a private family only service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mary be directed to Fellowship Square-Mesa, 6945 E. Main St. Building 5, Mesa, AZ 85207
