Michael “Mike” John Failla was born to John & Hildegard Failla on July 31, 1950, in Brooklyn New York.
He attended and graduated in 1968 from South Plainfield High School in New Jersey, from there he joined the Navy and was stationed to the U.S.S Intrepid where he proudly served for 4yrs.
After he left the Navy he met Beverly in Chandler, AZ, and they were married on Aug 31, 1974, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Mesa, AZ. To this union, they were blessed with 3 amazing children Stephen Failla, Josh Failla, and Kerrie (Failla) Stoops
Mike was a man of many trades but his passion for geology which led him to become an Arizona State Mine Trainer where he worked for the past 16 years. He also loved to collect and build models of heavy machinery, cranes, and planes.
Mike is survived by his wife Beverly, his sons Stephen (Katina) Failla, Josh (Mike) Failla, and his daughter Kerrie (Justin) Stoops; sisters Leslie (Chris) Shaw, Cousin Andra (Dale) O’Connell, nieces Alex and Jennifer, nephew Jeffery grand-nephews Tyler & Tanner and Granddaughter Samantha.
He was preceded in death by parents John & Hildegard Failla.
Services will be held Saturday January 06, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home, Mesa.

Mike was a great man and awesome trainer. He is missed at asmi.
