Nila J. Daubert, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan peacefully passed away Wednesday, February 01, 2012 after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. Nila Jane Harmony was born November 24, 1934 in Lincoln, Nebraska to the late Alexander and Sarah (Erdman) Harmony. Nila graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1953. She spent 38 years in the financial world, starting as a bookkeeper at Michigan National Bank and she worked her way up to retire as General Manager of the Saginaw Consumer Powers Employees Credit Union (now known as United Financial). She was a member of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia – Lincoln, NE Chapter; charter member of Resurrection Lutheran Church; Former Director of the Credit Union Executives Society; and Former Treasurer of MACU (Michigan Association of Credit Unions). Nila was preceded in death by her parents, brothers James Harmony and Alexander (David) Harmony, and granddaughter Marissa Daubert. She is survived by her loving husband James Daubert, whom she married on August 30, 1958. Together they had 5 children James (Michelle) Daubert of St. Louis, MO; Dana Daubert (Carlyn Hartshorn) of Tempe, AZ; Kristi (Donald) Baranowski of Chandler, AZ; Anthony (Diana) Daubert of Purcellville, VA; and Kara (Evan) Richman of Peoria, AZ. She is also survived by grandchildren Donnie Baranowski, Alexandra and James Daubert; a dear sister-in-law Judith Harmony, and many close family and friends. Arrangements have been made by Mountain View Mortuary in Mesa, AZ. A small private service at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Apache Junction was held. Interment will be at a later date at Roselawn Cemetery in Saginaw, MI.
