No tears in Heaven – No crying in Glory – All God’s children along with Patricia H. Lewis, will be – shall be – must be happy in her new home – a prepared place, somewhere around God’s throne.

Patricia Ann Lewis was born June 14, 1949 in Birmingham, AL to her loving mother, Mattie Scarbrough and Father, Theodore Huntley. She passed away peacefully on November 30, 2021. She was raised and educated in the Birmingham City Schools System. Pat graduated from Wenonah High School and attended Stillman College. She later earned her B.A. degree in Early Childhood Education from Birmingham Southern College.

She taught in the Birmingham City School System for over 25 years.  She taught Kindergarten at Wenonah Elementary for 23 years where she touched the lives of many students and parents who are forever changed for having known her.

Pat accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Riley. She faithfully served in many areas of the church. She later moved her membership to Sixth Avenue Baptist Church where she attended until relocating to Phoenix, AZ.

While living independently in the Phoenix area Pat sang with the Community Choir, attended weekly bible study, and exercised with neighbors and friends. She enjoyed watching the Arizona sunset from her patio remembering God’s gift of “It’s a Wonderful Life” knowing “It Is Well”. Undoubtedly, those were her favorite movie and song.

To cherish her memories are her son Corey (Danniele) Lewis; her daughter Crystal Lewis; grandson, Zachary Lewis; her brother, Dr. Horace (Barbara) Huntley; nieces: Falona (Gerald) Glenn, Lindsey Glenn, Lauren Glenn, Camilla Huntley, and Zaraya Huntley; nephews: Marcus (Sara) Huntley, Kairo Huntley; cousins: Alice Walker, Nichole Garner, Natalie Walker, Teresa Henderson, Cameron Garner, Trevon Garner, Courtney Garner, Ollie Garner and other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death, Mattie S. Mason (Mother), Langston Huntley (brother), Courtney Devon Lewis (son).

Donations can be made in lieu of flowers through CashApp to Corey Lewis @ $duanereign that will be used for a memorial service in Birmingham, AL in the spring of 2022.
