Patricia (Pat) Jeane Renfer, 90, passed away peacefully in an assisted living facility on Sunday, October 13, 2019. Pat was born on May 13, 1929 in Danville, Illinois to Kelly and Freda Trimmell, the first of three children. She was married to Paul Renfer and together they had two sons, Ronald and Stephen (deceased).
In 1967, she moved to Saginaw, Michigan as a result of Paul’s transfer to a position in a General Motors facility.
Pat really preferred being a homemaker and raising her sons, though she was employed by General Electric in Danville for six years, in Saginaw for five years at a large grocery chain, and she also volunteered at a major hospital in Saginaw for ten years.
Following Paul’s early retirement, he and Pat began their semi-nomadic life by Air-stream Travel Trailer and subsequent motor homes. They purchased their first home in Gold Canyon, Arizona in 1991, but continued leaving for extended summers until 2011. While in Gold Canyon they were members of the Gold Canyon United Methodist Church. In 2014 they moved to Fellowship Square in Mesa, Arizona where Pat acquired many friends.
Pat also enjoyed traveling overseas, particularly Europe, where they had traveled ten times, from Denmark to Romania. She also loved ocean cruises, but preferred smaller ships.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Kelly and Fred Trimmell; and her youngest son, Stephen Renfer; and her younger sister Shirley.
She is survived by her husband Paul; son, Ron and daughter in law, Kathy, and their son Erik, of Bay City Michigan; her grandson, Mason, his wife Abby, and their delightful daughter Emily (Pat’s only great-grandchild) of Phoenix, Arizona. Pat is also survived by her younger brother, Gary Trimmell of Tarpon Springs, Florida.

Pat will be laid to rest in Mountain View Memorial Garden, 7900 E Main Street, Mesa, Arizona 85207.
A Memorial Service will be held on October 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM, at Fellowship Square Activity Center, 6945 E Main Street, Mesa, Arizona 85207.
