Paul J Waters, age 93, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2021 in Mesa, Arizona.
Paul was born on January 27, 1928 in New Hartford, Iowa, to Iva and William Waters. He graduated from Rockwell High School in 1945. After high school he enlisted in the US Army and was a proud veteran of WWII. Paul then attended Iowa State University which led to a distinguished career as Director of Quality Control in the animal health field. Early in his career he met and married the love of his life, Carol Shimon. They raised their three children while still living in Iowa and later moved to Arizona upon retirement.
He had a great sense of humor and especially enjoyed good times with family and friends. He served on many community organizations throughout his life and was n avid sports fan and loved to travel.
Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was always there for us with a word of advices, a story and a handshake or hug. He will forever be loved, dearly remembered and greatly missed.
His memory will live on with Carol, his wife of 66 years; daughters, Laura (David) of Gilbert, Arizona and Karie (Bill) of Payson, Arizona; son, Steve of Payson, Arizona; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A celebration of life with the immediate family will be held at a later date.
