Phillip Starkey Solomon, age 23, was born on June 18, 1992 in Mesa, Arizona to Richard and Charlene Solomon.  Phillip passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016.  He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Alex Giles Solomon and both of his maternal and paternal grandparents.  He is survived by his sister, Erica Nicole Solomon, parents, aunts, uncles and cousins.  Phillip loved to ride his quad; go four wheeling; mud boggin’; romping, any chance he got.  His favorite places to ride were Four Peaks, Sycamore Creek and Cholla Bay, Mexico.  Phillip had a very adventurous spirit and would take every opportunity he could to have fun in this life. Spur of the moment road trips to Utah, New Mexico, California and Nevada – just for the fun of it. He lived life with his arms wide open and a smile on his face. It is with heavy hearts that we have to say goodbye to him now.

For those friends and family that would like to attend, there will be a graveside service at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, Arizona, at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016.  We will also be hosting a celebration of Phillip’s life, immediately following the service, at Copper Still Moonshine Grill, 2531 S Gilbert Road, Ste 101, Gilbert, Arizona.

In lieu of flowers, we will be setting up a memorial fund in Phillip’s name.

  1. Charlene Solomon says:

    My dearest Phillip, I wrote a poem for you. I love and miss you so much!!

    Don’t ask how I died, but how did I live?
    With my arms open wide; with a smile to give.
    Spur of the moment adventures;
    Long drives in the night;
    Romping up Four Peaks to my heart’s delight.
    Don’t ask how I died, but how did I live?
    With my arms open wide; with a smile to give.
    I know family and friends are missing me now,
    I would take it all back, if I only knew how.
    Don’t ask how I died, but how did I live?
    With my arms open wide; with a smile to give.
    Not sure why I did this, I shouldn’t have tried,
    I loved life so much, I shouldn’t have died.
    Don’t ask how I died, but how did I live?
    With my arms open wide; with a smile to
    give.
