Richard Anthony Wecht, of Queen Creek, AZ, passed away on December 10, 2020. He was born August 24, 1937, in Jersey City New Jersey. He was raised in North Bergen New Jersey where he attended Jefferson Elementary, and was a 1955 Graduate of Weehawken High School. He enrolled in College Business courses at Rutgers University.
Richie worked as a North Bergen Police Officer for four years before taking a job at Northwest Airlines. Relocating his Family from Cliffwood Beach New Jersey to Minneapolis Minnesota. He retired in 1999 after 31 years of dedicated service. He then moved to TN in 2002- and settled into Golf resort community Fairfield Glade. There he enjoyed Paddle Boating the many Manmade Lakes, Rich Scenic location and laid back Lifestyle. Richie enjoyed vacations to Vegas and Lake Tahoe always trying his Luck with Casinos and Slot Machine gaming. He was an avid Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan. Richie maintained close friendships with church members from New Jersey, Minnesota, and Tennessee. Richie was a likeable, friendly man who often shared his life experiences with new acquaintances.
In his final days he was in the comfort and care of his Family in his new Home in Queen Creek Arizona.
He will always be fondly remembered as a Loving and Caring Husband and Father.
Richie is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Frederick Martin Wecht, Florence Louise Wecht, his sister Diane Wecht and many beloved Pets.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Blanche Wecht; daughters Pamela and Robin Wecht; sister June Lawrence; cherished cat Callie aka Daddy’s Girl; many nephews; nieces; in-laws and extended family members.
