Richard Patrick Mason, 72, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away on September 19, 2019.
A celebration of life service with Military Honors will take place at 12:00 pm, Saturday October 5, 2019 at 3163 E Oriole Dr. Gilbert, Arizona 85297.
Rick was born on October 28, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Meirion “Brownie” and Mary (Pinter) Mason. He graduated from Alhambra High School in 1965 and enlisted into The United States Navy- Aviation Division from 1965-1970.
Rick then went on to graduate from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University in 1974. He became a highly respected Sr. Project Manager with a long list of projects he was proud of. In his spare time he enjoyed camping and exploring life to the fullest.
Rick is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy Mason; along with his children and grandchildren; Christie (Brian) and Caden Long; Brandon, Trinity and Jayden Mason; Carrie Mason; Susan and Jack, Rory and Cooper Donovan.
Rick was a true friend he will be missed. He was blessed to have a loving wife and a loving family.
Judy, I hope you are doing well as this is a hard time for all of us. Our thoughts are of you and the kids.
I do not have to tell you what good friends we were going back to college as well as the J.C. s.
over the years I have thought of Rick and remember the good old days at the little brown jug.
To say he will be missed is not much but it is true, I could not have had a better friend than Rick.
Being so far away it is hard to handle this, however if there is anything Kathy and I can do please let us know.
Please try to remember that Rick is now pain free, and walking with God.
God speed
Rich
Judy, I hope you are surrounded by friends and family during this time. May you have opportunities to celebrate Rick’s life and the memories you two made together.
I had the opportunity to work with Rick at O’Brien Kreitzberg was a good friend and colleague.
My heart and thoughts are with you and your family.
