Our beloved father, Richard Warner Wilson passed away in Mesa, Arizona on November 18th, 2023, at the age of 88. He was surrounded by his loving family and his adored dog Lexi. Richard was born in Seattle, Washington on June 22, 1935. His childhood in Washington instilled a lifelong passion for Mechanics. He loved to tinker, to find out what made things work. He started tinkering on small things like bikes and clocks. Later he moved on to boat and car engines. Eventually, this led him into a career in the United States Air Force where he was an Aircraft mechanic.

Richard retired from the military with an Honorable discharge in 1974 having served a year and a half in the U. S. Navy reserves and 20 years active duty in the U. S. Air Force for a combined 21 years of service. Richard went on to work for Scenic Airlines in Las Vegas, Nevada until 1979, at which time, he returned his family to Washington and went to work for The Boeing Company in Everett, Washington. After 20 years with Boeing, he retired for the 2nd time and moved to Mesa, Arizona with his beloved wife Janet.

Richard was very proud of and dearly loved his family and his pets. He loved to journal and tell stories to anyone who would listen, about his family, his life, and his travels around the world during his service in the military. Richard was a Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Richard was also a lifetime Mason of the Masonic Lodge in Washington and member in Arizona. He leaves behind his four daughters, Debra Wilson-Stapleton (Bill), Tracey Bombara (Rick), Gwynn Eid (Eric), and Stephanie Coffey (Dan). Nine grandchildren, Melissa, Lindsey, Julia, Ricky, Jennifer, Kellen, Garrison, Quintin, Colton, and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters Patricia Fernandez and Susan Watson. Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Janet Marlene Wilson, and parents Dr. John Ivan Wilson and Flavilla Mae Wilson, brother Robert Wilson and grandson Ryan Nicholas Bombara. The funeral will be held at Masonic Lodge of Mesa Arizona January 5th, 2023, 9:00 A.M. at: 926 N. Center Street, Mesa, Arizona. This will be followed by a Military Service and Gun salute at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, Arizona at 11:00 A.M. Sharp. A celebration of life will follow the services
