Robert Eugene Taggart Obituary

Robert Eugene Taggart was born on March 21, 1957 in Effingham, IL. Jesus Christ came and took him home to heaven on September 12, 2015 at 3:30pm at the age of 58 years, 6 months, and 12 days. He leaves to mourn his death, his parents Harold & Frieda Taggart, one sister Vanessa Kohl of Snellville, GA, 5 nephews, Sean, Aaron, Geoffrey Kohl, Ryan and Kyle Wright, and two nieces, Faith Kohl and Leslie Wright. One sister Karen Wright and one brother Harold Wayne Taggart preceded him in death.

Robert received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age in life and was baptized. In the late 1970’s he received call into the gospel ministry. He was an ordained minister with the Open Bible Fellowship in Gilbert, AZ. Robert’s preaching ministry took him across America and into the villages of the Bahama Islands. He and his father became a great ministering team together. In the 1980’s Robert became an anointed Praise & Worship leader and ministered in many Churches in Arizona, California and around the world. His ministry touched and changed a multitude of people everywhere he went. Robert’s life was one of a servant. He was always giving to other people. It was always God first, others second and him last. He always gave and asked nothing in return. His life was truly an inspiration to all those who knew him. His Christian light shined brighter than the brightest star in the constellation. When he walked into the room it was like a bright light that came on. Careful planning and hard work is reflected in a job well done.

Robert Taggart was God’s gift to us all. The visitation for Robert will be from 4-7:00 pm Wednesday September 16, 2015 at Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am Thursday September 17, 2015 at Broadway Christian Church, 7335 E Broadway Rd, Mesa, AZ 85208.
