In loving memory of Rodney Burton. He passed away on January 25, 2021. His life began on March 8, 1945 in Norton, Kansas. At 8 years of age, he and his family moved to Middleton, Idaho to start a new life on a farm. He graduated from Middleton High School in 1963 and headed to college at the University of Idaho where he received his Bachelor of Animal Science. During that time, he met Barbara; they were married on September 2, 1967. Rod had two sons, Brad and Richard.

 

Rod’s working years were spent in the Dairy and Livestock industries. He spent his retirement years in Washington and Arizona as a snowbird, and for the last two years settling in Arizona as a full-time resident. Throughout his life he had many interests which included softball, golf, ocean fishing, card playing, and hunting. He followed teams, but he especially liked the Green Bay Packers, the Kansas Jayhawks, and the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

 

Rodney is survived by his survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Brad and Richard; grandchildren, Tiffany and Owen; and brother, Don (Gae).

 

A graveside service will be held in Middleton, Idaho at a date to be determined.

Rod treated me and my family as we were part of his , I always enjoyed visiting with him when I saw him or a phone call out of the blue we would usually talk hunting , fishing and of course the weather because he always wanted to rub it in that he was living the life down in Az and how it was alway warm . A great father great husband and a great man .
