In Loving Memory of Ronal Gordon Graham
Mesa, Arizona – Ronal Gordon Graham, a devoted husband, father, and respected electrical engineer, passed away on August 05, 2023. He was born on July 30, 1943, and throughout his life, he touched the hearts of many with his kindness, love, and passion for life.
Ronal Gordon Graham was a man who believed in the power of love and devotion. On July 1, 1966, he married the love of his life, Larri Jean Graham, with whom he shared a beautiful journey of 57 years filled with adventure, love and laughter. Together they served a mission in the Philippines, selflessly dedicating their lives to the Lord and fell in love with the people there.
As a father, he was a shining example of unconditional love and care. He cherished his role as a parent and was the loving and supportive backbone to his eight children: Celeste, Reed, Benjamin, Cherish, Ginger, Ted, Matthew, and Gregory. He instilled in them the values of compassion, perseverance, and curiosity, making them better individuals and preparing them for life’s challenges. His love for his children is exemplified in the scripture, Matt 6:21, “For where your treasure is there will be your heart be also” as he referred to his children as his, “treasures.”
Ronal Gordon Graham had a brilliant mind and was a talented electrical engineer. His contributions to the field were commendable, and he was held in high regard by his peers and colleagues. He authored patents leading to breakthrough performance of the Standard Missile III project. He played a key role in the development of the technological wonder of the Iridium project from the cellular satellite coverage provided communication to any location on the earth. Beyond his professional life, he had a love for amateur radio and enjoyed spending time communicating with fellow enthusiasts worldwide, but most especially with the SunLife Net. N7ADG expressed his fond feelings for his friends on the SunLife Net and completed his final sign off on August 1, 2023. He also found joy in flying RC planes, a hobby that allowed him to soar with the same wonder and excitement he brought to all aspects of his life.
Family was at the center of Ronal Gordon Graham’s world, and he leaves behind a loving legacy. He was survived by his beloved wife, Larri Jean Graham, their eight children, and 22 grandchildren, who he adored and cherished dearly. Additionally, he leaves behind four great-grandchildren, who were a source of immense joy to him.
Ronal Gordon Graham’s absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warm smile, gentle nature, and kind heart will forever be etched in our memories. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a devoted father, and a dear friend to many.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on August 10, 2023 at 10:00 AM at 3025 South Hawes Rd., Mesa, Arizona 85212. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Nick and Kelly’s Children Heart Fund, a cause that was close to Gordon’s heart.

We enjoyed living close to the graham’s years ago and I was lucky enough h to see Gordon on occasion when we were working in the temple. He will be missed.
