It is with great sadness that the family of Rozendo Salinas Zarate, announces his passing at the age of 80 years of age, he passed away on March 26, 2026 in Mesa, Az. Born on April 4, 1945 in San Angelo, Texas to Roland Zarate and Petra Zarate, Rozendo was renowned for his extraordinary passion for cooking, bowling, fishing, and camping.
Our father was a beacon of inspiration who has instilled in us the values of hard work and determination to excel in life. He believed in our limitless potential and motivated us to reach new heights. He is a profound influence in our lives, and we are forever grateful for the sacrifices he’s made for us as children and adults alike. As an incredible father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, his legacy continues to inspire. Thank you Lord for every precious day we’ve had with him.
Rozendo is survived by his wife, Norma Zarate, his children Christina Zarate, Anna Neathery, and Rozendo Zarate Jr. Grandchildren Christopher Zarate, Lorenzo Zarate, Rachael Rumple, Steven Neathery Jr., Danial Zarate, Mercedes Scott, Dalhia Zarate, Zachari Maes, and Savannah Wike. Great-Grandchildren Anastasia Zarate, Ryleigh Rumple, Peyton Rumple, Micah Rumple, Ariyah Neathery, Izabella Jakubowski , Mia Neathery, Shayla Jakubowski, Remington Neathery, Natalie Neathery, Nova Scott and Emory Scott
