Sally Marie Acevedo, age 52, transitioned peacefully in her home Dec 2nd after a courageous battle with cancer. Sally was born in Mesa, Arizona, on April 15, 1969, to Jesse and Donna Coury. She grew up in the Valley along side her siblings Sharon, Victoria, Teresa, and Junior. She was the first of her siblings to run off and get married. Although, the marriage didn’t last, it blessed her with what she loved more than anything, her daughter, Lolita Acevedo, and son, Alexis Acevedo. They then blessed her with grand babies that she loved just the same: Vincent, Ayden, Pie, Rose, Mia, and Ahsan. Sally had a big heart and family was her everything. Her grand babies were her pride and joy. She loved to cook and was quite the talent! Thanks to her family she was able to see her dreams come true when they completed her taco truck. Sally was without a doubt a lover and not a fighter until she began her battle with cancer. Sally made it clear she would fight until the end and she did exactly that. Now she is at peace and reunited with her father in paradise. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Services for our beloved Sally will be held on Friday, January, 7, 2021 at New Creation Church, 1363 S Vineyard, Mesa, Arizona, at 12pm. Burial services will be followed at Mountain View Cemetery.
