Scott Henry Gardner Obituary

Scott Henry Gardner, 52, of Apache Junction passed away July 21, 2015. Scott was born on July 19, 1963 in Churchville, NY where he lived until 1978 when he, with his parents & siblings, moved to AZ. He graduated from Mountain View High School. He worked at Smittys for many years and then became a plumber. This was his profession until a wrist injury made it too difficult to continue. He then took his love of driving and turned it in to a career, delivering parts for a local Chrysler dealer until 2012 when he became ill while under treatment for his liver disease. He was very active in AA for many years and it was while attending a 12 step meeting that he met his wife, Tara. Scott loved to go camping, fishing, car shows and car races, a love both he and Tara shared. Scott’s love for his 5 children and stepson drove him to work hard to provide for them. Scott is survived by his wife, Tara, mother, Judy, sister, Linda, brother, Todd, sons Jon & Cody, daughters Nicole & Ashlee, stepson Dylan and 3 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his father Henry and his son Scott Jr. A memorial service will be held Sunday August 2, 2015 at 2 pm in the chapel at Central Christian Church, 933 N Lindsay Rd Mesa, AZ 85213. There will be a reception after the service in the Cafe on site. In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation to Liver Foundation. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed!!!
