Sherri Lynn Granito, age 64, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 8th, 2024, at the Sherman Home with Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix Arizona.
Sherri was born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 5th, 1959. She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Carpenter and stepfather Noel Carpenter. Survived by her brother Rick Granito, stepsister Heather Graybeal, Aunt Lois/Uncle Dan Shanahan and many other family members and friends.
Sherri was a graduate of Reavis High School in Burbank, Illinois – Class of 1977.

She loved music, attending rock concerts, catching local bands play, and riding Harley Davidsons. Sherri also enjoyed watching football (Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals), Nascar races, and just hanging out with friends.

After high school Sherri worked with an insurance firm in downtown Chicago, then for many years with Tuthill Pump in Alsip Ill. When Sherri moved to Mesa Arizona in 1996, she went back to working in the insurance field for a few years then on to specialize in Accounts Payable for local corporations such as Circle K, Leslie’s Pool, D&L Glass and others.

Friends are welcome to witness the placement of Sherri’s ashes, as we lay her to rest alongside her mother at 12:00 Noon on May 16, 2024 at Mountain View Memorial Gardens 7900 East Main St, Mesa, Arizona 85207 (Section N – Garden of Hope).
Sherri will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

    I worked with Sherri at Tuthill. She was a good person, and she will be missed.

    I met Sherri when working at Auto-Owners and we immediately became friends. We laughed more than we worked, and that wasn’t easy to do at that place. The last time I saw Sherri was several years ago. She let me know she was coming to Payson and would I like to get together. I was there immediately and we picked up right where we left off. I am grateful and so blessed that our paths crossed while on our life’s journey. Rest in peace dear friend, you will be missed.

    Sherri was definately a midwestern gal (Chicago area). I know she loved Rock M Roll and was a sweet person. I worked with her for 4 years. May angels surround you Sherri.
