Terry Lynn Brough, beloved husband, father, Big Pa, and faithful evangelist of the Gospel of Christ, entered into his heavenly reward on January 4, 2017 in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 72.
Terry was born to Gerald and Ulavee Brough on February 17, 1944 in Junction City, Kansas. He graduated from Chase County High School in 1962. In 1967, he received his Bachelor of Science in Business from The Kansas State Teachers College of Emporia. Terry worked for Southwestern Bell telephone company, Mobile Oil Company as a rep in Minot, North Dakota, later owned a service station in Billings, Montana and was a successful business owner in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
In 1980, Terry decided to make a spiritual leap of faith and the family moved to Lubbock, Texas, where he attended Sunset School of Preaching. After graduating in 1982, Terry began his lifelong calling of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Raton, New Mexico. In 1986, Terry began preaching for the Sturgis church of Christ in South Dakota where he worked for 16 years. He has served as the minister at the Sun Valley church of Christ in Gilbert, Arizona for the past 15 years.
Terry is survived by the love of his life and wife of 49 years, Sandra Kay Brough, as well as his son Trevor and wife Angela, his daughter Melissa and husband Kevin, 4 grandchildren, his sister, Linda from Wichita, Kansas, and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 9, 2017 at 10:00am at the Sun Valley church of Christ in Gilbert, AZ with an opportunity for viewing at 9:30am. Terry will be laid to rest in the Prairie Grove Cemetery in Cottonwood Falls, KS.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, TX.
