Tommie Munguia Barron, 82, of Mesa, Arizona, surrounded by her family, passed away peacefully in her home on October 10, 2019. Mrs. Tommie Barron was born on May 31, 1937 in Kenedy, Texas to Manuel and Porfiria Munguia.
Tommie was the first born of 12 children. She lived in California for 37 years, for 10 years she worked as a Daycare Teacher for Western Ave. Baptist School. She loved to cook and listen to Tex-Mex Music and was the Life of the Party.
Tommie is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jose Barron; her sisters, Armandina, Ursula, Enriqueta, and Carmen; her brothers, Manuel, Humberto, and Robert; her daughters, Patsy and Michelle (John); her sons, Greg (Teresa), Jose Manuel (Fina), George (Kescia); her grandchildren Vangelina, Jessica, Reyna, Adriana, Greg Jose, Adrian, Xavier, Mariah, Katrina, Christopher, Antonio, and Grace; and her great-grandchildren, Eddie, Jaunita, Valentina, Celeste, Victoria, Annissa, Julissa, Lorenzo, Oscar Jr., Marcello, Sirelo, Izabella, Marisol, Jordan, and Zoe.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Johnny; her sisters, Tinidad, Teresa, Ofelia, and Evangelina; and her brother, Julio.
Services for Tommie will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:00 am, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E Main Street, Mesa, Arizona 85207, 480-832-2850.
A reception following the service will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at American Legion Post #2, 2125 S Industrial Park Avenue, Tempe, Arizona 85282.
