Tyrone was born on July 22, 1940 in New London, Mn to W.A. and Hazelle Helland. Tyrone attended Minnesota School of Business and spent 4 years in the Army. He was confirmed in the Lutheran Church and continued his worship of the Lord until he was unable to attend because of illness. 

On September 7, 1966 Tyrone married Suzanne Gravley and we’re married for 56 years. They had two lovely daughters, Kimberly and Teresa. 

Tyrone spent his working years in the grocery business and retired in 2015. His found great enjoyment spending time with family and friend, golfing and sport activities. 

Tyrone is survived by his wife, Suzanne, one daughter, Teresa, grandchildren, Cody and Kylie Kotila, Dazz (Dani) Dostal, Alex Dostal, and Olivia Dostal, great granddaughter, Elisa. Brother Loren Helland, brother in law, Gene Gravley, Jon (Kathy) Gravley, Marvin (Yvonne)Lee and Linda (Mark)Gravley and Mary (Thomas) Helland and several cousins. 

 

Tyrone is preceded in death by his grandparents, Otto & Lillian Thompson, parents-W.A. and Hazelle Helland, Suzanne’s parents, James and Dora Gravley, Brother Thomas,  Brother in law, Larry Gravley, Mark (Linda) Gravley and, Sister in laws – Yvonne (Marvin) Lee, Rita (Gene) Gravley, Brother in law and sister – Ken and Lynnette Olson, daughter, Kimberly Kay Rhodes .

Burial service will be held at National Veterans Cemetery located at 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, Az 85024 on February 2023.
