Verna C. Ondreja 95, of Mesa, AZ, passed away peacefully the morning of 10/27/17. Verna was born on March 23, 1922 in Joliet, IL to Peter and Angela Cartelli. Moved to Mesa, AZ in 1979. Preceded in death by her husband Stephen and brother Robert Cartelli.
She is survived by her sister Helen of Parkville, MO and children: Lawrence Ondreja of Mesa, AZ and Janice Ballantine (Alistair) of Prescott, AZ. Verna is fondly remembered by her 3 grandchildren: Julie Belvedere, Kaitlynn Ondreja and Keven Maher, 6 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all the lives she has touched.
A private memorial service was held at on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Mountain View Cemetery, 7900 E Main Street, Mesa, AZ.
