Virginia married the love of her life, J.A. Stockton on October 31, 1942.  She served in WWII obtaining the rank of Corporal and received a victory medal.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Sue Dale, Wapello, IA; grandson and wife, Peter A. and Kirsten M. Dale, Burlington, WI; great-granddaughters, Alicia K. and Rayn Gough, Phen City, AL, Monica R. and Taylor M., both of Burlington, WI; one cousin, Alice Jean Heneberry; nieces, Kimn (Tom) Hassenfritz and Lyndel (Mike) Barton; nephews, Janet (Dale) Gardner, Jerry (Shirley) Hadenfeldt, Judy (Dennis) Button, and John (Kim) Hadenfeldt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, of 77 years, parents and one grandson, Andrew Mitchel Dale; sister, Mary and brother-on-law, Elmer Keuhnle.

Virginia treasured her many friends and games, shopping outings and dinners out.  She loved to go and see her grandsons at school functions and athletic games.  Virginia was very active in T.T.T. and was part of a 5th generation and served as the Arizona State President in 1999-2000.  She had been a member for 76 years.

Interment will be at a later date in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, IA.  Memorials may be sent to National T.T.T. Society at 811 E. Washington St., Suite 102, Mt. Pleasant, IA 52641, whose mission is to send young girls to camp.
