William (Bill) Baker of Mesa, AZ passed away on November 15, 2023 at the age of 87. He was born February 24, 1936 in Sebring, Ohio to James and Marceline (Rush) Baker. He was one of eight children.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Betty McKinnon, Virginia Baker, Gladys (Roy) Warner and brothers Robert Baker, Gary Baker, Ivan Baker, James Baker, and his son Randy Baker.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn of 65 years, son Terry (Missy) Baker, Eric Baker, daughter Julie (Randy) Cormany, daughter-in-law Debbie Baker, grandchildren Brittany Riggs, Sean (Shannon) Baker, Nicholas (Elizabeth) Baker, Jessica Haggarty, as well as great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Bill moved his family to Arizona in 1973. He worked for State Farm Insurance as an IT Tech. He was an avid bowler who bowled on team “Billy’s Boys” with his sons and brother Gary. He also bowled in many national tournaments.
He never forgot his Sebring roots and his alma mater. In recognition of his support of the Student Scholarship Program, the Sebring McKinley High School Alumni Association announced that a 2023 Student Scholarship would be given in his honor.
Bill had a loving and kind spirit and was always giving to others. He loved his family and was a wonderful father and grandfather.
Bill will truly be missed!
