William Douglas Stearns passed away on October 27, 2022. He passed peacefully in the presence of his loving family. He was the son of Fay Dixon and William Edwin Stearns and older brother to David Stearns. All though he was born in Mississippi, Doug spent most of his life in Arizona. Doug was an avid fisherman and hunter. His fondest memories were of green forests and clear water. His home was and will forever be the White Mountains. He was a father to four and grandfather to 7. Though they might not all be his by blood they were his children by heart. He will forever be in the hearts of those who knew him. Services will be postponed until spring in order to better honor Doug’s spirt. If you wish to attend, please reach out to his daughter Teegan or his mother Fay.
