William Lee “Bill” Brotherton, a devoted husband, loving father, proud “Pop,” and brilliant mind, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, at the age of 76.

Born on May 14, 1948, in Albany, Oregon, Bill was a proud patriot who served his country in the United States Army. He brought the same dedication and discipline from his service into every aspect of his life.

A skilled musician, Bill was most at home with a guitar in his hands, sharing his love for music with family and friends. Beyond his musical talents, he was a self-made man with a remarkable intellect and unparalleled problem-solving abilities. His career was marked by innovative achievements, particularly in the design of printed circuit boards that revolutionized technology in the music industry, transportation, and defense sectors.

Bill spent his later years in San Tan Valley, Arizona, where he cherished time with his family and continued to share his wisdom, humor, and love with those around him. Bill is survived by his beloved “Sweetie,” Sherry; his son, Reed, and Reed’s wife, Marivic; his daughter, Lisa; and his cherished granddaughters Abigail, Madelyn, and Fiona. His legacy of ingenuity, creativity, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A private service to honor Bill’s life will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in his memory.

He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
