With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Allison Szabo, who went to be with our Lord on April 19, 2026, in Mesa, Arizona, at the age of 31.
Allison was born on October 5, 1994, to Jozsef and Kellie Szabo and was raised in Mesa, Arizona. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, niece, and friend. Most importantly, Allison was a deeply devoted mother to her precious daughter, Avery Anne. Avery was the center of Allison’s life, and everything she did reflected the fierce love she carried for her.
Allison will be remembered for her strength, courage, determination, and generous heart. She was a loyal and caring friend and colleague who was always there when others needed her. She had a special way of making people feel seen, supported, and loved. Her devotion to her family was unwavering, and the bond she shared with her father held a particularly special place in her heart.
In 2023, Allison moved to San Antonio, Texas, where she built a life with Avery and flourished as a mother. During that time, she returned to school to become a Certified Nursing Assistant and was on track to begin her college journey. She was one of the hardest workers anyone could ever meet and made many treasured memories with her daughter and family. After returning to Arizona in 2024, Allison found joy in riding her motorcycle and formed many incredible and lasting friendships that enriched her life.
Allison was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ferenc and Maria Szabo and Flint Brown, and by her cousin, Joseph Gerard Banales.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Avery Anne; her devoted father, Jozsef Szabo of Mesa, Arizona; her mother, Kellie Brown; her sister, Amber Szabo; her brother, Brandon Szabo (Samantha); her nephew, Arthur Szabo; her niece, Kenzi Szabo; her Aunt Frances Szabo (Thomas), Aunt Maria Szabo, Aunt Ida Horvath (Brian), Aunt Erzsebet Szabo, and Aunt Zsuzsa Szabo (Christopher); six aunts and uncles on her mother’s side; as well as numerous beloved cousins, including Sandor Szabo, Krisztofer, Nickolas, Gabriella, Matthew Banales, Gabor, Tibor, and Zsofia Horvath, Mariska Szabo-John along with 28 cousins on her mother’s side, many extended family members, and dear friends.
Allison leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, strength, and compassion. She will be remembered for her beautiful heart, her fierce love for her daughter, and the way she always showed up for the people she loved. She had a gift for making life feel lighter, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her passing is a heartbreaking loss, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A visitation will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home on April 24th, 2026 from 6PM to 8PM.
Funeral mass will be held at St George’s Catholic Church on April 25th. 2026 at 8AM.
Rite of Committal and Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens at 10AM.
