Agnes Juan (Meredith) Helm, 83, of Peoria, AZ passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010 due to complications related to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder. Agnes was born on October 9, 1927 to Joseph and Ottilie (Fischer) Meredith in Pontiac, Michigan. She attended schools in Michigan and Florida and graduated high school at age 16. In April 1947, she married Irving Helm of Detroit, Michigan. The couple raised their two children in Michigan and, in 1971, moved west to Mesa, AZ. Agnes entered the real estate business and worked as a realtor, broker and manager for a number of companies in the Valley. She was known as “tough but honest” in her business relationships. Agnes was a high-spirited person who loved her family. She was passionate about reading mystery novels and watching crime shows on television, always, with her dog Tiger nestled on her lap. She is survived by her husband, Irving, of Peoria, AZ, a brother, Joe (Alice) Meredith of Cypress, TX, a son, Chuck (Lori) Helm of Waddell, a daughter, Susan (Michael) Faulkner, granddaughters Jennifer Faulkner and Melissa (Shawn) Schwab, all of Wenatchee, WA, and a grandson, Erik (Crista) Helm of Chandler as well as three great-grandchildren, Makenna and Conner Schwab and Kylie Helm. The family is grateful to her many friends and colleagues for the love and support they have provided. Agnes touched many lives who will miss her and be saddened by her passing. A visitation will be held at 12:00 noon Friday October 29, 2010 with services following at 1:00 PM at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel 7900 E. Main St. Mesa, AZ 85207.
