Passed Away on February 9, 2017


Agnes Surratt was born to Frederick & Dorathy (Chalupa) Zlatnik on July 14, 1920, in Morrill, NE, the 2nd of twin girls. She married Gilbert Surratt March 15, 1940. While living in Nebraska, they completed their family with 2 daughters & 1 son. Mom loved birthdays and holidays. She decorated cakes, made May Day baskets for us to deliver. Picnics, sparklers and cap guns for a 4th of July bang. Christmas Eve at church and Christmas day with extended family. Moving to Colorado in 1956, Gil and Agnes started into the furniture business in Boulder. Then onto Billings, MT, in 1968, to a larger furniture store. Agnes worked as office manager, but her real talent was buying the right styles and fabrics with Gil for their showroom. She was active in her church and bible studies. Early mornings were her prayer time. Gil and Agnes loved to travel both here and abroad. They retired in Mesa, AZ in 1980. Agnes moved to CO in 2005 to be near her daughter.

Agnes was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Bob), Jerilyn (Dick) and grandchildren. Judy, Tom, Kathy, Shane, Brenda, Stacie, Christina, Derrick, Sean, Tera, Jason, Laura and Philip. 22 great grandchildren and 12 great, great grandchildren. One brother, Tony and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her parents, husband, Gilbert, twin Sister, Gladyes, sister, Helen, brother, Henry, son, Terry and sister, Darlene. Gravesite services Thursday, February 9, at 1:00 P.M. at Mountain View Funeral Home.
