Agripina R. Duarte, 89, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016. She was born in San Julian, Jalisco, México on June 23, 1926.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Mike G. Duarte.  “Pina” is survived by a loving family of four children: Mike Duarte Jr. (Rose), Maria Duarte Robledo (Rob), Jesse R. Duarte (Patricia) and Gema Duarte Luna (Paul); 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  Pina was loved by everyone; her sisters-in-law Mary Quiroz and Eva Morales, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends and neighbors.  Pina was the youngest of 4 siblings and was raised in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco, México.  After her marriage in 1955, she came to the United States and raised her children in Superior, Arizona.  She was a dedicated wife and mother and lived her life for her family.  She was proud of her Mexican heritage and instilled in her children the language and culture of her native country.  She exemplified unconditional love, faith in God and humility.  Words cannot express the void she will leave in all of our lives, but her goodness will stay with us forever.  Memorial services will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 3450 W. Ray Road in Chandler on Thursday, May 19; viewing from 9:30am to 10am, rosary at 10am and the funeral mass at 10:30am.  Entombment will be at 12 noon at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 7900 E. Main, in Mesa, Arizona.
