Passed Away on April 21, 2016


Our sweet Alexandra (Alex) Leighann Whipple Hinchcliff, 25, of Mesa, ran into the open arms of her heavenly father on April 21, 2016.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church, 2605 S. Signal Butte Road, Mesa, Arizona, 85209.   Pastor Glen Stadler will be officiating.

Alex was born in Mesa, Arizona to James Edward Whipple and Leslie Ann Berkebile on April 7, 1991.  She attended Desert Ridge High School and graduated in 2009.  Alex had the biggest heart and a true love for helping those with special needs. She loved a great romance movie; her favorite was the Notebook, written by Nicholas Sparks it inspired her to have the quote if you’re a bird I’m a bird tattooed on her arm.   She loved being a Mom to her sweet boys, laughing and just being surrounded by her family and friends.  Her favorite quote was, “tis better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all.” Alex loved with her entire being.

Alex was preceded in death by her mother, Leslie Ann Berkebile Lorts and her paternal grandfather, Timothy James Whipple.

Alex leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her wife, Natalie Hinchcliff; sons, Nehemiah 4, Shawn 7; her father, Jimmy Whipple and (Jill); brothers, Dylan and Von of Phoenix;  step-father, Ted Lorts and (Jen);  sister, Emma and step-brother, Preston of Mesa;  maternal grandparents, Bob and Barbara Berkebile of Mesa,  paternal grandparents, Pattie Braun and (Chris) of Northern Virginia.  Alex was blessed with a large family and many friends.
