Alissa Marie Lomeli, age 23, of Mesa, AZ, died suddenly the morning of September 15, 2021, after a four year battle with addiction.

Alissa is survived by her father and mother, Jacob Lomeli Sr. and Roxanne Lomeli; brother, Jacob Lomeli Jr.; grandparents, Sherree Lomeli, William McAnellen and Selena McAnellen; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Alissa was a beautiful person, bringing joy and magic to all around her.  From an early age, she loved to dance and sing and was never too shy to get on stage.  She followed that path through high school where she performed in theater, dance, and competed in equestrian jumping and beauty pageants.

She had a kind, compassionate heart and was most passionate about caring for others.  Her goal was to become a pediatric nurse so she could help children and families.  She graduated from high school with a medical assistant certificate and worked in the medical field while she worked towards her nursing degree.

Alissa was a bright light to others.  Every little girl wanted to be her.  She was “fancy” and silly and loving.  She had something very special about her that all children loved.

Alissa will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations to be made to Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery (480-832-2850) to help cover the funeral expenses.

Services will be held for Alissa on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ 85207.

Jacob and Roxanne and little Jake, please accept our deepest condolences. No words can express how sorry we are to hear of your loss. We pray that God will send His Holy Spirit to bring you peace and understanding. This tragedy is not God’s will. He is a God of love, peace and joy. It is the enemy who seeks to kill steal and destroy. May God give you a glimpse of His mercy and grace.
    Our prayers are with you.
