Alvie Eugene Yates Jr. (Gene), 90, died January 11, 2015 in Gilbert, AZ. He was born in Peoria, IL June 5, 1924 to Alvie Eugene Sr. and Virgie Lila Yates. Gene met Betty Jean Coleman in Warrensburg, MO and they were married October 15, 1942. Gene was preceded in death by Betty, his wife of 60 years, in 2002. He is survived by his son David Leon, daughter Barbara Jo (Bartholow), and 4 grandchildren, Rebecca Jew Reining, Matthew Jew, Michael Yates and Susan Yates.
