With heavy hearts, we say “Goodbye” to our beloved mom, Amelia “Jean” Bishop, 76, of Mesa, AZ. She passed on September 3, 2025. She passed peacefully, at home and was surrounded by her family.  She was born July 7, 1949 in Pound, VA.

Jean was a loving mother to her oldest son, Paul Scott, and his wife, Angela Marie Bishop. Her daughter, Yvonne Renee Brenner and is preceded in death by her youngest son, Fred Wayne Bishop.

Her grandchildren, Michael S. Kinsley, EJ Bishop, Alexandra R. Bishop and Chase B. Brenner. Puppies, Kyoko, Jojo, Waldo, Juno and Eiko. Also, a loving circle of nieces, nephews, and extended family who carry her memory forward.

She’s preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Bertie Mullins. She’s preceded in death by her siblings, her brother’s Donald C. Boggs, survived by his wife, Irene. John H. Mullins, his wife, Claudette. Fred Mullins, survived by his wife, Phyllis. She’s preceded in death by her sister, Helen S. Querry and her husband, Hubert Querry.

Mom was a shining light in our lives. Though she is no longer with us, her love, kindness and spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

Her private Memorial Service is Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 10:00am at Mountain View Funeral Home.

Her Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 11:00am – 4:00pm at her daughter’s house.
