Andrew “Andy” Gowans of Mesa, Arizona passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 17, 2019, after a strong fight against Mesothelioma. He was born May 3, 1945 in Glasgow, Scotland. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Andy was a huge fan of the New England Patriots for over half a century.
Andy married the love of his life Billie on February 12, 1966. His career as an aerospace machinist brought him, his wife and young daughter to the United States in 1968. Their second daughter was born the following year. His career spanned over 50 years of his life and across 2 countries. In 1978 his family moved to Mesa, Arizona where he resided until his death.
Andy will be lovingly remembered by his wife Billie and his children MargaretAnn Fulaytor (Mark) and Andrea Marwah (Ajay). He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Dreanne, Samantha, Julia and Andrew, his great-grandson Ian and his sister Carol Murdoch (John). Andy will also be forever remembered by his nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.
A private service will be held at the Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery.
