Anna Marie Ortega

February 4, 1970 – June 2, 2023


Anna Marie Ortega, 53, of San Tan Valley, AZ passed away in the comfort of her own home on June 2, 2023. She is the second of three children born to Adolfo R. Lechuga and Lorraine M Russell on February 4, 1970, in Kearny, AZ. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world battling an illness, since the age of 40. 

Anna grew up in Kearny, AZ, graduated from Ray High School, and attended Central Arizona College where she received a Bachelors Degree in Business with high merits. Married Frank Ortega on June 20, 1999. Anna began her career with Ray Unified School District in Kearny, AZ. Later taking on the role of an Accounting Supervisor for Pinal County in Florence, AZ. 

She was a strong, motivated, loving woman with pride in her two children, Travis and Rebecca. She raised them to put family before everything and to never give up on their dreams. Anna was a true support system to her kids. She loved spending her time with her two children, grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Anna was known to love hard and unconditional. 

She is survived by her Son: Travis Lechuga (Evelyn), Daughter: Rebecca Ortega, Frank Ortega, Brothers: Fransisco Lechuga (Sylvia), Robert Lechuga (Meghan), Gavino Lechuga (Ashley), Sister: Mary Lechuga, Grandkids: (Abel, Ava, Avelle, Enzo) She also left behind her Nephews: John, Vincente, Fransisco, Gabriel, Fabian, Alex, Carlos, & Matthew, Nieces: Priscilla, Felisha, Alyssa, & Davina. Friends: Robin, Ruby, Beverly, & Patricia, Family Pets: Maddie, Carmela, & Nyla who will all miss Nana Anna’s love, smiles, and compassion. 

Anna will never be forgotten and will be missed dearly as she walks through the gates of heaven.  

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on June 13th, 2023 at Holy Cross Catholic Church on the North West Corner of Power Rd. and Southern Ave.

 

Committal services to follow at Mountain View for immediate family.
