Arleen (Ginger) Olson went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. She was born on July 4, 1922 in Mankato, Minnesota to J. Elmer and Lillian Nelson. She grew up and graduated from High School in Lake Crystal, Minnesota. After graduation she enrolled in a secretarial course at the Northwestern Bible Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There she met Irwin Olson a Seminary student. They were married on September 3, 1943. She served as her husband’s personal secretary during fifty-five years of his sixty-five year pastoral ministry. She is survived by her husband; a sister, Joan Salseth; a brother, John Nelson; five children: Sheryl and her husband, Larry Fox; Steve and his wife, Junia; Linda and her husband Jack Swank; Julie Compton; and Debra and her husband, Robert Craig; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Angie Raper; a brother, Dean Nelson; and a brother-in law, Harold Salseth. She was the grand lady of her family. She will be missed. A memorial service will be held on October 29 at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium at Sunland Village East in Mesa, Arizona.
