Arthur L. Brandvold passed away to be with the Lord on September 18, 2011. Born in Souris, ND, November 26, 1923 to Peter and Astrid Brandvold, he was the youngest of ten children. After graduating from Souris High School, he attended Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, graduating with a major in music. He received his master’s degree from University of Southern California. He taught band and chorus in Scobey, MT. He moved to Billings, MT, in 1959, taught Choral music, and became director of music education. He retired in 1979. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No.49, Scottish Rite, Al Bedoo Shrine, and Kiwanis in Billings, MT. He will be missed by his wife Signe, nine stepchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held November 15, 2011 at 11:00 am at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Mesa, AZ. Interment at Mountain View Cemetery. Family requests memorials to Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix, AZ or Concordia College, Moorhead, MN.
