Aubrey Morgan Lane
April 4, 1995 – November 20, 2023
Aubrey Morgan Lane passed away on November 20, 2023. Aubrey was an inspiration and a beacon of kindness and creativity. Aubrey was born on April 4, 1995, in Scottsdale, Arizona, to Bryan and Tracy Lane. She was such a blessing to us and we are so grateful and happy that she was born into our family and that she was able to be with us for the short time she was here.
Growing up in Mesa and Apache Junction, Arizona, and Henderson, Nevada before settling in Anthem, Arizona, Aubrey’s early years were marked by her love for her family and friends, music, academic excellence, and a deep bond with her younger brother and sister, whom she cherished. Aubrey was a wonderful big sister to her sister Robin (Megan) and her brother Eric, and she loved to help teach them to read and many other things. It was always a joy to watch them use their vivid imaginations as they played for hours together.
Aubrey’s musical journey began in elementary school choir, church choir, as well as playing flute in her junior high’s band. She became the first chair flutist in the allstate band. Her passion for music flourished through high school and into her college years at Chandler Gilbert Community College. She was in the choir all four years of high school, and expanded her musical repertoire, by joining Pro Musica choir and orchestra, and then engaging in jazz choir while majoring in music in college, where she also started exploring the realms of visual arts.
Aubrey had the opportunity to participate in the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World, which further showcased her talents and her joy in bringing happiness to others. The program offered her a mix of classroom learning and working experience. It was also an opportunity for her to foster friendships and live on her own. She seemed very happy with the experience.
Aubrey wanted to find work that would fulfill her deepest desires to make the world a better place. This led her to a position with a nonprofit that helped starving children around the world. Aubrey’s compassionate spirit shone in her interactions with children and animals. Her career path reflected this, from working with children in various roles to her fulfilling work as an adoption counselor at an animal shelter. Aubrey’s innate ability to connect with the children and animals was a testament to her empathetic nature.
In 2017, Aubrey was married to Jacob Woolfenden after dating since high school. She loved their pets – three dogs and a cat. Aubrey’s compassionate heart was not just confined to her immediate circle; she harbored a strong desire to improve the world. She was deeply concerned about the less fortunate and those struggling with mental health, which she also struggled with, and she dreamed of using her creativity and compassion to make a difference.
Aubrey was loved and cherished by her family, friends, and work colleagues. Her warmth, creativity, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her. As a sister, daughter, wife, cousin, granddaughter, friend, and mentor, Aubrey’s legacy of love, music, and compassion continues to resonate in the hearts of all those whom she touched throughout her life. There is a part of our hearts now missing and a void in the world that can only be filled by the wonderful memories we shared with Aubrey.
A Celebration of Aubrey’s Life will be held on January 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the LDS chapel located at 2233 S Wade Dr, Gilbert, AZ 85295.

Lane Family, I am sending you all the biggest hug right now. I was thinking about our kids hunting Easter Eggs in your back yard in Henderson. My deepest condolences. Please let Clyde and I know if you need anything.
Had the pleasure of being Aubrey’s roommate during the Disney college program. Such an amazing person and gone far too soon. My love and thoughts to everyone who loves her and will continue to love her always.
Aubrey worked for me as a nanny/babysitter. She would ride her bike to my house after school and take care of my 4 girls. I had some health complications after the birth of our fourth daughter and her help was so needed at the time. My girls just loved her and felt her compassion she had for children. Our family was honored to know her and her family.
Aubrey’s beautiful smile and love of music are two things that come to mind. She literally lit up a Tommy when she walks in. Always kind and , even though she didn’t see us often, acted like we were special !
