Averil Rose “Bullen” Lichtenfels was born on April 5, 1941, in Great Yarmouth England to William Richard Bullen and Lily Florence Clark who proceeded her in death. She met her husband who was serving in the military in England and moved to the US. She was proceeded in death by her husband MSgt Lester Leroy Lichtenfels and her brother Roger Bullen.
She is survived by her daughter Rose Marie Lichtenfels, son Russell Lichtenfels and his Fiancé Amber Ruffalo. Her grandson Shawn and his wife Kelly, her granddaughter Shannon and husband Aaron and great grandson Richie. Her Nephew in Law Edwin Daugherty and Great Granddaughter Gwyneth. Her sister Maureen and husband Stan. Also, There are many nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces in the US and England.
Averil was an avid Steelers Football fan and she never missed watching a game. She also liked to watch English Soccer and Tennis. She also loved taking care of her grand dog Libby whenever Rose traveled. She worked for a long time as a Postal Clerk at independent postal centers. First for Bashas food store and later for many years at Diane’s Hallmark Card Shop.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley for the services they provided for their mother in the final stages of her life.
Aunt Avril was always one of my grandmothers most treasured.. she loved her so much. Aunt Avril always checked in on her. She loved deeply who she loved. ❤️
I cherish the beautiful table cloth Avril stitched for me. I think of her every time I put it on my table. Her Yorkshire pudding was my all time favorite. I will miss you Avril.
