The family of Barbara Dole announces with sorrow and faith, the passing of their beloved, on June 29, 2026. She departed this life, and entered the arms of our Lord. She was born March 8, 1944, in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, and was the daughter of the late Walter and Cecilia Sobocinski.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Harry A. Doletski, her son Anthony V. Valvano Jr., daughter-in-law, Denise Valvano, and her brother Robert Sobocinski. Surviving her are her son, Joseph, C Valvano of Pennsylvania, and her daughter, Kimberly St. Armour of Arizona. Grandchildren: Tonya Karasinski (PA), Ian Adams (AZ), Amanda Valvano (PA), Anthony J Valvano (PA), Amelia St. Armour (AZ), and Jesika St. Armour (AZ).

Throughout Barbara‘s life, she lived in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Arizona. She had various careers as a social worker, bookkeeper, and with the telephone company. She worked hard, and took her children on beautiful vacations. Her grandchildren were a very special part of her life, and she enjoyed that most of all. The time spent with them was precious.

Barbara enjoyed cooking and baking, as she excelled at both. She always loved the holiday season, and made it extra special for her family. Her favorite past time was shopping, and especially loved to do that with her grandchildren. when Barbara met the love of her life, Harry, her dreams came true. Now she joins him in heavenly rest and peace with Christ, our Lord. May God bless them both. Arrangements are private at the family’s request.
