Barbara L Parris, 89, of Apache Junction, AZ, died peacefully at home on December 22 , 2020.  She was born October 21, 1931 in San Francisco, CA, and was raised in Sausalito.  Barbara played drums in her H.S. Marching Band, a talent she passed on to her grandson.  She met her husband Bill at the Roller Rink in San Rafael where they loved to skate with her sister and brother-in-law, an activity many members of the family later enjoyed.  In San Jose the 2 couples took up Square Dancing. Barbara enjoyed working in San Jose at Fotomat and Manpower.  Later in life she enjoyed sewing, reading and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Loraine Taylor and her beloved sister, Jeanne Bray. Barbara will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 69 years, William Parris; daughters, Jeanne Amos, Debby Carstensen and Kim Carrigan; Grandchildren, Jeff Templin, Sean McElligott, Michael McElligott, Lori McElligott, Lisa Houston, Karie Houston, Lindsey Carrigan and Braden Carrigan; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
